Position Summary

Linn Energy has an opportunity for a Sr. Production Services Engineer located in Houston, TX.  This position will report to the Manager of Production Services and will offer potential for a leadership role as Linn continues to grow.

 

This position will provide technical engineering support and perspective to all Production Services activities.

 

Duties will include:

 

  • Field Data Gathering (FDG)
  • Scada Integration, hydrocarbon measurement, measurement integrity, and volume reporting
  • Ensuring consistent, logical process integrity is maintained
  • Assume a lead role with the technical development of the strategies, framework, and functionality of all FDG volume related processes
  • Assume lead role with the technical development of Linn’s STAR Scada reporting environment to deliver timely operational alerts and reliable , relevant data FDG applications
  • Provide technical support to developing an FDG environment that integrates new technology and applications to meet user/client needs
  • Provide technical support to influence the integrity of all volume reporting setups, configurations, and allocations.
  • Participate in a lead role in all asset integration efforts for volume reporting processes

Education, Certificates, Licenses

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably petroleum)

• Professional Engineer (PE) designation preferred

Experience

  • 10+ years of Production or Operations Engineering experience
  • Solid working knowledge of daily field activities and volume reporting functions in oil and gas industry
  • Microsoft Suite, Production Accounting and Aries software experience

•  Must be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities to deliver expected results. 
•  Demonstrated commitment to safety, including safety considerations in engineering design, recommendations, and operability

Work Environment

  • Primarily office work environment.
  • Routine work involves typical office activities such as standing, sitting, walking, typing, twisting as necessary.
  • May be required to occasionally lift approximately 10 to 50 pounds.
  • Must follow all company safety policies that may require additional considerations when visiting field and plant locations.
  • May require travel
